Wreath Workshop
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29
1 - 3:30 pm
Field & Forest Crafts Classroom
(N. Seattle)
This year’s winter wreath workshop promises a hands-on, creative experience that captures the season’s spirit with delight and joy! Guided by my instruction, you will craft a unique wreath using fresh and dried natural materials that bring warmth and charm to your home. Whether a beginner or seasoned crafter, this workshop offers an inviting space to connect, create, and celebrate the beauty of winter. Come nourish your creative spirit before the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and be sure to invite a family member or friend to join you.
I will be offering two tracks simultaneously - Conventional Technique and Fully Compostable technique:
Track One (Conventional Technique): This track offers a conventional wreath construction (metal base with wire), while fashioning a beautiful design. This track is great for those who want to practice wreath making fundamentals. Cost is $80 and includes tax, supplies, and instruction.
Track Two: (Compostable Technique): This track will offer you a chance to work with all natural mechanics (grapevine base with twine), allowing for the wreath to be fully compostable. This track is great if you're looking to stretch your crafting skills or want to practice an environmental approach. Cost is $90 and includes tax, supplies, and instruction.
About 80-90% of my materials are intentionally and carefully and sustainably foraged from my community, including local gardens belonging to friends, family, and gardeners, and elements I've grown in my own cut flower garden.
Space is limited, so register early!
Custom Wreaths
ORDER BY NOVEMBER 25
Making winter wreaths is one of my favorite offerings of the year! I pour my artistry and love into each one. Designs are unique and botanical in style, and include a variety of fresh greens and other natural elements which will last well into the winter season.
About 80-90% of my materials are intentionally and carefully and sustainably foraged from my community, including local gardens belonging to friends, family, and gardeners, and elements I've grown in my own cut flower garden. The best part? These wreaths are FULLY COMPOSTABLE! I value keeping my design practices as sustainable and local as possible. I also make a donation from sales towards Chief Seattle Club as a way to honor the Indigenous lands on which I live on, steward, and forage from respectfully (Duwamish, Suquamish, Stillaguamish, Coast Salish).
I hope you treasure your wreath as a symbol of beauty and evergreen joy!
